Additional foam is applied to fill in any gaps that may have been overlooked.

Clay is applied and the sculpting begins.

Blocking in the foundation for the overall shape of the foot.

Lower torso is blocked in and adjusted according to the pose.

Clay is now applied to the upper body and head.

Detail has been added to the pants. Additional wire has been welded onto the extension rods to shape the basic form of the trumpets.

The bell of the trumpet has been added, and proportions are checked before moving onto the second trumpet....

Detailing begins, now that all the basic shapes have been establsihed.
